CLINICAL AND PHARMACEUTICAL APPROACHES TO ARTERIAL HYPERTENSION MANAGEMENT IN PATIENTS IN NIGERIA

Abstract

Aim of the study is to critical review the essential hypertension status among the Nigerian adult population, the practice of the utilization of antihypertensive drugs of various pharmacological groups in patients attending the outpatient clinic, and treatment adherence in hypertensive patients in Nigeria. As a result the research the main provisions of pharmaceutical care in hypertension patients management to increase the safety of the use of antihypertensive drugs and their effectiveness were formulated.
