dc.descriptionIntroduction. Aster novae-angliae L. is a perennial herbaceous plant native to North America. This species has been traditionally used for the treatment of respiratory diseases, including cough, asthma, and colds. New England aster contains a complex of biologically active substances with antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and antimicrobial properties. The aim of the study – to determine the quantitative content of the total polyphenols in phytosubstances from the herb of Aster novae-angliae of the Andenken an Alma Pötschke variety, obtained by maceration with stirring. Research Methods. The objects of the study were phytosubstances from the herb of Aster novae-angliae L., obtained by maceration with stirring in a raw material-to-extractant ratio of 1:10, using 10% ethanol as the extractant (series 1) and 20% ethanol (series 2). The quantitative content of the total polyphenols, recalculated as pyrogallol, was determined using the spectrophotometric method. Results and Discussion. The results of the study showed that the quantitative content of total polyphenols in the phytosubstance obtained from the herb of Aster novae-angliae of the Andenken an Alma Pötschke variety using 10% ethanol was 5,62±0,22%. The content of total polyphenols in the phytosubstance obtained using 20% ethanol from the studied raw material was 6,29±0,10%. The conducted research established that the quantitative content of total polyphenols in the phytosubstance obtained using 20% ethanol from the herb of Aster novaeangliae was 1,12 times higher than in the extract obtained using 10% ethanol. Conclusions. The quantitative content of total polyphenols in phytosubstances from the herb of Aster novaeangliae of the Andenken an Alma Pötschke variety, obtained by maceration with stirring in a raw material-toextractant ratio of 1:10, was determined using 10 and 20% ethanol as extractants. It was established that the use of 20% ethanol extracted slightly more total polyphenols, with their quantitative content amounting to 6,29±0,10%. In the phytosubstance obtained using 10% ethanol, the total polyphenol content was 5,62±0,22%. The obtained results can serve as a basis for microbiological and pharmacological studies and can be used in the development of dietary supplements or medicinal products based on Aster novae-angliae L.en-US
dc.descriptionВступ. Aster novae-angliae L. – це багаторічна трав’яниста рослина, що походить із Північної Америки. Даний вид традиційно застосовують для лікування респіраторних захворювань, серед яких кашель, астма та застуда. Айстра новоанглійська містить комплекс біологічно активних речовин з антиоксидантними, протизапальними й антимікробними властивостями. Мета дослідження – визначити кількісний вміст суми поліфенолів у фітосубстанціях із трави айстри новоанглійської сорту Andenken an Alma Pötschke, одержаних методом мацерації з перемішуванням. Методи дослідження. Об’єктами досліджень були фітосубстанції із трави айстри новоанглійської, які одержували методом мацерації з перемішуванням, у співвідношенні сировини й екстрагента 1:10, за використання як екстрагента 10% етанолу (серія 1) та 20% етанолу (серія 2). Спектрофотометричним методом визначали кількісний вміст суми поліфенолів у перерахунку на пірогалол. Результати й обговорення. Результати досліджень показали, що кількісний вміст суми поліфенолів у фітосубстанції, одержаній із трави айстри новоанглійської сорту Andenken an Alma Pötschke, у разі використання 10% етанолу становив 5,62±0,22%. Вміст суми у фітосубстанції, одержаній із використанням 20% етанолу з досліджуваної сировини, становив 6,29±0,10%. У результаті проведених досліджень установлено, що у фітосубстанції, яку одержували з використанням 20% етанолу із трави айстри новоанглійської, кількісний вміст суми поліфенолів був в 1,12 раза більшим, ніж у витяжці, одержаній із використанням 10% етанолу. Висновки. Визначено кількісний вміст суми поліфенолів у фітосубстанціях із трави айстри новоанглійської сорту Andenken an Alma Pötschke, одержаних методом мацерації з перемішуванням, у співвідношенні сировини й екстрагента 1:10, з використанням як екстрагента 10 та 20% етанолу. Установлено, що в разі використання 20% етанолу вилучається дещо більше суми поліфенолів, їх кількісний вміст становить 6,29±0,10%. У фітосубстанції, одержаній із використанням 10% етанолу, вміст суми поліфенолів становив 5,62±0,22%. Одержані результати можуть бути основою для проведення мікробіологічних, фармакологічних досліджень і використовуватися з метою розроблення дієтичних добавок чи лікарських засобів на основі айстри новоанглійської.uk-UA
