SIGNIFICANT EVENTS IN THE PERIODS OF THE ORIGIN AND FORMATION OF THE HEALTH PROMOTION HISTORY

dc.descriptionPurpose: to highlight significant events in the periods of the origin and formation of the health promotion history and their impact on the modern idea of health promotion and maintenance. Materials and Methods. To achieve the purpose of the study, authors used the method of analysis and synthesis of documents, the historical and chronological method and generalization. Results. The formation of the health promotion history is traced through an analysis of the thematic content of six Global Conferences on health promotion and maintenance. The key events in the periods of origin and formation of the health promotion history are identified. The periodization is proposed and the periods of origin and formation of health promotion are characterized. Based on the analysis of the results of global conferences on health promotion and relevant documents, the evolution of the World Health Organization's approaches to the formation of the concept of health promotion and maintenance is considered. Conclusions. It is established that the period of origin (1974–1986) is marked by the definition of the concept of “health promotion” and basic approaches and development strategies. The period of formation (1988–2005) is characterized by an increase in the range of health promotion issues related to improving the quality of health in developing countries; formation of a favorable environment for health; the health promotion in the 21st century; overcoming health inequalities and health promotion in a globalized world. A detailed description of the changes in the understanding of definitions, strategies and concepts of health promotion is presented in the relevant publications of the two glossaries on health promotion.en-US
dc.descriptionМета: висвітлити визначні події в періоди започаткування та становлення історії промоції здоров’я і їх вплив на сучасне уявлення про зміцнення та збереження здоров’я. Матеріали і методи. Для досягнення мети дослідження використано метод аналізу та синтезу документів, історико-хронологічний метод й узагальнення. Результати. Становлення історії промоції здоров’я простежено на основі здійснення аналізу тематичного змісту шести глобальних конференцій, присвячених зміцненню та збереженню здоров’я. Визначено ключові події в періоди започаткування та становлення історії промоції здоров’я. Запропоновано періодизацію й охарактеризовано періоди започаткування та становлення промоції здоров’я. На підставі аналізу результатів глобальних конференцій із промоції здоров’я і відповідних документів розглянуто еволюцію підходів Всесвітньої організації охорони здоров’я до формування концепції зміцнення та збереження здоров’я. Висновки. Встановлено, що період започаткування (1974–1986) позначається визначенням поняття «промоція здоров’я» і базових підходів та стратегій розвитку. Період становлення (1988–2005) характеризується збільшенням кола питань із промоції здоров’я, пов’язаних із підвищенням якості здоров’я в країнах, що розвиваються; формуванням сприятливого середовища для здоров’я; зміцненням здоров’я у XXI ст.; подоланням нерівності у сфері здоров’я та промоцією здоров’я в глобалізованому світі. Детальну характеристику змін уявлення про визначення, стратегії та концепції промоції здоров’я представлено у відповідних публікаціях двох глосаріїв із промоції здоров’я.uk-UA
