THE ROLE AND IMPORTANCE OF THE NURSE IN THE REHABILITATION OF PATIENTS DURING EMERGENCIES

dc.descriptionIntroduction. Emergencies are sudden disruptions of normal living conditions at specific facilities or territories caused by natural forces or human activities. In cases of disasters and emergencies, hospitals provide life-saving assistance. The aim of the study – to perform in-depth analysis of the latest scientific publications on this topic, study of the role of nursing staff in rehabilitation activities in emergency situations, identification of nurses’ key skills. The main part. To achieve the scientific goal, theoretical research methods were applied. An analysis of modern scientific publications and articles posted on the scientific search databases, covering the period from 2010 to 2025, was conducted. Selected studies were included in the analysis according to the following criteria: the works were published in peer-reviewed journals, the studies described the role, importance, responsibilities, knowledge, skills of nursing staff. The analysis revealed a critical need to develop rehabilitation nursing in Ukraine, especially in the context of war. The annual need for rehabilitation is estimated at about 250 thousand people. Statistical data demonstrate a high prevalence of combat injuries of the extremities (up to 63.3 %), in particular mine-explosive and shrapnel wounds, which often lead to multiple fractures and amputations (up to 6.5 %). These injuries cause long-term functional impairment and disability, emphasizing the importance of quality and timely rehabilitation. Rehabilitation nursing is a specialized field that covers all stages of recovery. The role of the nurse is multifaceted. Conclusions. Rehabilitation nursing is an extremely important branch of health care. During emergencies the need for rehabilitation services increases significantly. Nurses play a key role in rehabilitation, providing physical rehabilitation.en-US
dc.descriptionВступ. Надзвичайні ситуації – це раптові порушення нормальних умов життєдіяльності на певних об’єктах або територіях, які спричинили природні фактори чи діяльність людини. У разі катастроф і надзвичайних ситуацій у лікарнях надають життєво необхідну допомогу. Мета роботи – поглиблено проаналізувати останні наукові публікації із цієї теми, вивчити роль та основні функції медсестринського персоналу в реабілітації постраждалих за умов надзвичайних ситуацій. Основна частина. Для досягнення наукової мети було застосовано теоретичні методи дослідження. Проаналізовано сучасні наукові публікації серед науково-пошукових баз даних у період з 2010 до 2025 р. Відібрані дослідження включали в аналіз за такими критеріями, як: публікація у рецензованих журналах, опис ролі, значення, обов’язків, знань, навичок медсестер. Аналіз наукової літератури і статистичних даних показав критичну потребу в розвитку реабілітаційного медсестринства в Україні, особ­ливо за умов війни. Щорічну потребу в реабілітації оцінюють приблизно у 250 тисяч осіб. Статистичні дані демонструють високу поширеність бойових травм кінцівок (до 63,3 %), зокрема мінно-вибухових і осколкових поранень, які часто призводять до множинних переломів та ампутацій (до 6,5 %). Ці травми спричиняють тривалі функціональні порушення та інвалідизацію, що підкреслює важливість якісної і своєчасної реабілітації. Реабілітаційне медсестринство – це спеціалізована галузь, яка охоплює всі етапи одужання. Роль медсестер є багатогранною, і процес відновлення включає фізичну активність, профілактику виникнення ускладнень, психологічну підтримку. Висновки. Реабілітаційне медсестринство – це надзвичайно важлива галузь охорони здоров’я. За умов надзвичайних ситуацій потреба в реабілітаційних послугах істотно зростає. Медсестри відіграють ключову роль у реабілітації завдяки призначенню вправ та процедур, контролюючи їх виконання, і профілактиці виникнення ускладнень, сприяючи відновленню рухових функцій та покращенню якості життя.uk-UA
