Introduction. Considering the quality of life of hospital nurses, it is necessary to emphasize the specific features associated with the performance of functional duties by nurses in the provision of medical care to military personnel. In particular, working with wounded military personnel, who often have severe injuries, requires high concentration and emotional stability. Medical professionals who work with the military are prone to the development of post-traumatic stress disorder due to constant contact with patients who have survived combat injuries and stressful situations. In addition, military patients can have not only physical injuries, but also psychological disorders, which complicates their care and requires additional efforts from nurses. The aim of the study – to establish indicators of the quality of life of nurses of therapeutic and surgical departments of hospitals that provide medical assistance to military personnel, and their relationships with socio-demographic factors. The main part. A survey was conducted among 117 nurses who work in hospital departments of therapeutic and surgical profiles with military personnel and 65 nurses who work in such departments with the civilian population. The questionnaire included questions about socio-demographic data, as well as questions from the SF-36 questionnaire, which is widely used to assess the quality of life in population and special studies. A statistically significant higher values by 16.6 % of the integral index of the physical component of health and by 24.1 % of the integral index of the psychological component were established for nurses who worked only with the civilian population over nurses who worked with the military. The integrated indicator of the physical component of health of nurses who worked with the military in therapeutic departments was 14.1 % higher than the same indicator for nurses of surgical departments, and the integrated indicator of the psychological component of health among nurses of therapeutic departments was determined to be higher by 19.7 %. Indicators of the life quality of nurses who work with the military are characterized by a reliable correlation with age, compliance with the diet, the number of night shifts during the month, and the presence of chronic diseases among nurses. Conclusions. Among nurses who work in hospital departments with military personnel, lower indicators of quality of life are determined in comparison with nurses who work with the civilian population. The parameters of both physical and psychological components of health prevail among nurses in therapeutic departments of hospitals compared to nurses in surgical departments. Socio-demographic, organizational and professional factors directly affect the indicators of the life quality of nurses.en-US
dc.descriptionВступ.
