USE OF INDIVIDUAL APPARATUS FOR CORRECTION OF DISTAL OVERBITE

| dc.description | Distal occlusion is one of the most common forms of occlusal anomalies, observed in more than 30 % of adolescents and young patients. This pathology leads to functional disorders of chewing, breathing and speech and causes significant psychological discomfort, requiring timely and individualized orthodontic intervention. The aim of the work was to examine the effectiveness of treating distal occlusion using an individually manufactured orthodontic appliance – a distalizer. A universal device for distalization, developed and patented in Ukraine, was used to treat distal occlusion, taking into account the individual characteristics of the patient. The effectiveness was assessed based on clinical and radiographic data. Cephalometric analysis based on TRG was used for diagnosis. To analyze the effect of tooth distalization, digital calculation was used by superimposing digital models in the Onyx Ceph program and subsequent analysis in the Ortho Analyzer (3Shape) program. The high clinical efficacy of the improved distalisation device has been established in patients who required tooth distalisation during orthodontic treatment of distal occlusion. The advantages of the proposed device include the absence of the need for a large number of different sizes of the device, cost-effectiveness, and the ability to manufacture it with full consideration of the individual characteristics of the dentition. By changing the length of the extension part, it is possible to adjust the vector and magnitude of the force applied for distalisation. | en-US |
| dc.description | Дистальний прикус є однією з найпоширеніших форм оклюзійних аномалій, яка спостерігається в понад 30% підлітків і молодих пацієнтів. Патологія призводить до функціональних порушень жування, дихання й мовлення та викликає значний психологічний дискомфорт, що вимагає своєчасного й індивідуалізованого ортодонтичного втручання. Метою роботи було розглянути ефективність лікування дистального прикусу за допомогою індивідуально виготовленого ортодонтичного апарата – дисталізатора. Для лікування дистального прикусу застосовано універсальний пристрій для дисталізації з урахуванням індивідуальних характеристик пацієнта, що розроблений і запатентований в Україні. Оцінку ефективності проводили на основі клінічних і рентгенологічних даних. Для діагностики використано цефалометричний аналіз на основі ТРГ. Для аналізу ефекту дисталізації зубів застосований цифровий підрахунок шляхом накладання цифрових молелей у програмі Оnyx Сeph і наступним аналізом у програмі Ortho Аnalyzer (3Shape). Установлено високу клінічну ефективність застосування вдосконаленого апарату для дисталізації в пацієнтів, що потребували дисталізації зубів під час ортодонтичного лікування дистального прикусу. До переваг запропонованого пристрою можна зарахувати відсутність потреби у великій кількості різних розмірів пристрою, економічну ефективність, можливість виготовляти його з повним урахуванням індивідуальних особливостей зубного ряду. За рахунок зміни довжини подовжуючої частини можна регулювати вектор і величину прикладення сили для дисталізації. | uk-UA |
