dc.descriptionThe article presents clinical observations of free plastic surgery of facial skin defects in gunshot wounds in cases where it is not possible to close them with local tissues. Two clinical cases of one of the stages of rehabilitation are presented, where treatment was carried out using a skin graft taken from the anterior surface of the thigh. Clinical observations indicate the prospects of this treatment method. Relevance. Gunshot lesions of the maxillofacial region are often accompanied by the appearance of skin defects of various sizes, which, depending on the localization and depth of the lesion, require different treatment methods [1; 2; 3]. Among them, facial skin defects occupy a special place, which are localized in places where they cannot be closed by the mobilization of local tissues. In particular, this is the nasal area, in some cases the parotidmasticatory area, and the temporal area [4; 5; 6]. In such cases, free skin plastic is the method of choice in such clinical cases [6; 7; 8]. The purpose of the study is to present clinical cases of the treatment of victims with gunshot wounds to the face, which were accompanied by skin defects that cannot be eliminated by local tissue grafting. Conclusions. 1. Gunshot wounds of the maxillofacial region are characterized by simultaneous damage to several organs and tissues; therefore, they require staged treatment. 2. Skin defects that have formed as a result of gunshot wounds of the maxillofacial region should be closed with plastic surgery using a free skin flap.en-US

Представлено два клінічні випадки одного з етапів реабілітації, де проводилося лікування із застосуванням шкірного трансплантата, взятого з передньої поверхні стегна.
