FEATURES OF TOTAL DISTANCE LEARNING FOR FOREIGN MEDICAL STUDENTS DURING A STUDY OF MEDICAL INFORMATICS

| dc.description | The quarantine measures of 2020 and the transition to distance learning served as an impetus for testing those information technologies that were previously less in demand in medical higher education institutions due to their educational specifics. Under the new form of education, the coordination of educational activities of future doctors required qualitative changes, which led to appropriate research in the field of pedagogy. In particular, the aim of our study was to analyze the features of the organization of distance learning of medical infromatics for foreign medical students of the second year in the quarantine restrictions of 2020 on the example of M. Pyrohov Vinnytsia National Medical University. The organization of the educational process in full distance mode, in particular for medical universities, had a different character in the spring and autumn periods of 2020. The first organizational attempts required a quick response to decision-making and coordinated teamwork of participants in the learning process, which affected the adaptation to new conditions and the effectiveness of the learning process. The study and testing of information technology, search, approbation of teaching methods and techniques, development of didactic materials suitable for online learning, evaluation of obtained results allowed to approach the distance learning process more confidently and organized in the fall, in particular during the study of medical informatics. Forced distance learning have brought new experiences and influenced the development of information culture of teachers and students. However, there are still some serious issues (for example, about the quality of knowledge and skills of students), the solution of which requires more advanced information technology with improved functionality compared to those we use today. | en-US |
| dc.description | Карантинні заходи 2020 р. та перехід на дистанційне навчання слугували поштовхом для випробовування тих інформаційних технологій, які раніше були менш затребувані в медичних вищих закладах освіти з огляду на свою освітню специфіку. За нової форми навчання координація навчальної діяльності майбутніх лікарів потребувала якісних змін, що привело до відповідних досліджень у напрямку педагогіки. Зокрема, метою нашого дослідження було проаналізувати особливості організації дистанційного навчання для іноземних студентів-медиків другого курсу з медичної інформатики в умовах карантинних обмежень 2020 р. на прикладі Вінницького національного медичного університету ім. М. І. Пирогова. Організація освітнього процесу в повному дистанційному режимі, зокрема для медичних вищих шкіл, мала різний характер у весняний та осінній періоди 2020 р. Перші організаційні спроби вимагали швидкої реакції щодо прийняття рішень і злагодженої командної роботи учасників навчального процесу, що впливало на адаптацію до нових умов та ефективність навчального процесу. Вивчення й випробовування інформаційних технологій, пошук, апробація методів і прийомів навчання, розробка дидактичних матеріалів, придатних для онлайн-навчання, оцінка отриманих результатів діяльності дозволили більш впевнено й організовано підійти до дистанційного навчального процесу в осінній період, зокрема при вивченні медичної інформатики. Вимушені умови навчання в онлайн-режимі принесли новий досвід і вплинули на розвиток інформаційної культури викладачів та студентів. Протe залишається частина серйозних питань (наприклад, щодо якості отриманих знань, умінь, навичок студентів), розв’язання яких потребує більш розвинутих інформаційних технологій з покращеними функціональними можливостями порівняно з тими, що використовуються нами зараз. | uk-UA |
