dc.descriptionThe aim of the work. To present the innovations after the last revision of spirometry standards jointly adopted by the American Thoracic Society and the European Respiratory Society this year. Materials and Methods. The modern ideas concerning the methodology of performing spirometry, quality control and analysis of its results were analyzed. Results and Discussion. In particular, an updated list of relative contraindications, the list of activities that patients should avoid before testing, modern approach to withholding times for bronchodilators before bronchodilator responsiveness testing, new spirometry quality assessment system are presented, new requirements for clinical spirometers are given etc. English-language abbreviations for the names of spirometric parameters are used in the main text of the article. At the same time, given the possibility of using several “working” languages in modern spirometers, the correspondence of both full and short names in Ukrainian and English is given. Conclusions. Compliance with the recommendations of ATS/ERS, 2019 should ensure that the performing spirometry procedure and the interpretation of its results are consistent at the proper level.en-US
dc.descriptionМета роботи. Висвітлити основні нововведення після останнього перегляду стандартів спірометрії, проведених Американським торакальним товариством та Європейським респіраторним това- риством у поточному році. Матеріали і методи. Проаналізовано сучасні уявлення стосовно методології виконання спірометрії, контролю якості та аналізу її результатів. Результати й обговорення. Представлено оновлений список відносних протипоказань, перелік видів діяльності, яких пацієнт повинен уникати перед проведенням обстеження, сучасний підхід до термінів утримання від використання бронхолітиків перед тестуванням, нова система оцінки якості результатів спірометрії, наведено нові вимоги для клінічних спірометрів тощо. В основному тексті статті використовуються англомовні абревіатури назв спірометричних параметрів. Водночас, зважаючи на можливість використання кількох «робочих» мов у сучасних спірометрах, наведено відповідність як повних, так і коротких назв українською та англійською мовами. Висновки. Дотримання рекомендацій ATS/ERS від 2019 р. має забезпечувати виконання спірометрії та інтерпретації її результатів на належному рівні.uk-UA
