| dc.description | Purpose: to raise awareness of the population, medical professionals, students about the epidemic situation for influenza and ARVI and possible consequences of the disease and methods of their prevention by communicating information to the general public, not only by physicians, but also by public organizations. Materials and Methods. Influenza vaccination indicators for 2018 among the population of Ternopil region were analyzed, taking into account data of Ternopil Oblast Laboratory Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. Results. Flu vaccination is obligatory for healthy adults, children, as well as people with health conditions and patients at high risk and severe infection. According to the WHO, there is an annual high incidence and cases of temporary disability for influenza and ARVI, leading to major economic losses. This paper analyzes the current possible methods of prevention and chemotherapy of influenza in humans recommended by WHO. Analysis of circulating viruses in 2018, analysis of influenza prevention for 2018 in Ternopil region among adults and children were made. Possible rates of morbidity for the next epidemic were calculated taking into account possible strains of influenza viruses. The necessity of increasing the role of NGOs in particular the All-Ukrainian NGO «Parents for Vaccination» in the issue of prevention of these diseases, is shown. Conclusions. Taking into consideration the low percentage of vaccinated people especially the pediatric population, it is important to pay close attention to the prevention of influenza not only for physicians but also for public organization. | en-US |
| dc.description | Мета: підвищити обізнаність населення, медичних працівників, студентів щодо епідемічної ситуації на грип і ГРВІ та можливих наслідків захворювання і методів їх профілактики шляхом донесення інформації до широкого загалу не тільки медиками, але і громадськими організаціями. Матеріали і методи. Проаналізовано показники вакцинації проти грипу за 2018 р. серед населення Тернопільської області, враховуючи дані Тернопільського обласного лабораторного центру МОЗ України. Результати. Вакцинація від грипу необхідна дітям, здоровим дорослим людям, а також пацієнтам із високим ризиком виникнення та тяжким перебігом інфекцій. За даними ВООЗ, щороку зростає рівень захворюваності та випадки тимчасової непрацездатності на грип та ГРВІ, що призводить до значних економічних збитків. У роботі проаналізовано сучасні можливі методи профілактики і хіміотерапії грипу в людей, рекомендовані ВООЗ. Проведено аналіз вірусів, що циркулювали в 2018 р., та методи профілактики грипу за 2018 р. у Тернопільській області серед дорослого і дитячого населення. Розраховано можливі показники захворюваності на наступний епідемічний сезон із урахуванням штамів вірусів грипу, які будуть циркулювати. Показано необхідність зростання ролі громадських організацій, зокрема всеукраїнської ГО «Батьки за вакцинацію», в питанні профілактики даних захворювань. Висновки. Враховуючи низький відсоток вакцинованих людей, особливо дитячого населення, необхідно приділити велику увагу профілактиці грипу не тільки медикам, але і громадським організаціям. | uk-UA |
