| dc.description | Рurpose: analysis of the problems that arise in the treatment of medical waste and identification of basic hygiene approaches with safe handling. Materials and Methods. In the research process, the following methods were used: descriptive, medical-statistical, bibliographic, epidemiological, sanitary-hygienic. Results and Discussion. The analysis of the problems arising in the handling of medical waste (MW) is carried out and the basic hygienic approaches for their safe handling are identified. At present, in our country there is no perfect legislative base in resolving this issue. Medical waste has a different degree of epidemiological and environmental safety, depending on its composition and degree of contamination with biological, chemical and radioactive agents. Wastes and by-products of their decomposition cause and harm not only the environment, but also the life and health of the population. The main risks were identified when handling waste from medical institutions: infectious, chemical, radiation, as well as the risks associated with waste disposal. At the moment, the only way to overcome these problems is to implement the National Strategy for Waste Management in Ukraine until 2030. "This is the first strategic document at the state level that defines the policy for managing all types of waste until 2030. The strategy defines the main directions of state regulation in the field of waste management in the coming decade, taking into account European approaches to waste management, based on the provisions of the EU Directive. Conclusions. The main tasks that currently arise in the management of the MW to create the basis for the implementation of proven methods and technologies for medical waste management with their subsequent disposal, to improve waste management standards in order to reduce environmental pollution. Implementation and compliance with these requirements will not only solve the problem of handling MW, but will also contribute to improving the environmental situation in the country. | en-US |
| dc.description | Мета: провести аналіз проблем, які виникають при поводженні з медичними відходами, та визначити основні гігієнічні підходи щодо безпечного поводження з ними. Матеріали і методи. У процесі дослідження використано такі методи: описовий, медико-статистичний, бібліографічний, епідеміологічний, санітарно-гігієнічний. Результати. Проведено аналіз проблем, які виникають при поводженні з медичними відходами, та визначено основні гігієнічні підходи щодо безпечного поводження з ними. На сьогодні в нашій країні немає досконалої законодавчої бази у вирішенні цього питання. Медичні відходи мають різний ступінь епідеміологічної та екологічної безпеки залежно від їх складу та ступеня контамінації біологічними, хімічними та радіоактивними агентами. Відходи та побічні продукти їх розкладу спричиняють та завдають шкоду не тільки довкіллю, а й життю та здоров’ю населення. Виділено основні ризики, спричинені відходами медичних закладів (інфекційні, хімічні, радіаційні), та ризики, пов’язані з утилізацією відходів. Нині єдиним шляхом подолання цих проблем є впровадження Національної стратегії управління відходами в Україні до 2030 р. Це – перший стратегічний документ державного рівня, який визначає політику управління всіма видами відходів до 2030 р. Стратегія визначає головні напрями державного регулювання у сфері поводження з відходами в найближче десятиліття з урахуванням європейських підходів із питань управління відходами, що ґрунтуються на положеннях Директив ЄС. Висновки. Основними завданнями, які постають на сьогодні при поводженні з медичними відходами (МВ), є створення основи для впровадження апробованих методів і технологій управління МВ та розробка загальнонаціональної мережі з їх подальшої утилізації, вдосконалення стандартів поводження з відходами з метою зменшення забруднення навколишнього середовища. Впровадження та дотримання цих вимог не тільки вирішить проблему поводження з МВ, а й буде сприяти поліпшенню екологічної ситуації в країні. | uk-UA |
