Medicinal plant material (MPM) is the source of many biologically active compounds (BAC) including easily digestible forms of amino acids and trace elements, that should be taken into consideration in recommendations of herbal remedies to treat a number of diseases. Amino acids can form compounds with trace elements and some other substances that potentiate the final effect, or reduce, or, even, negate the toxic effects of biologically active substances.Macro- and microelements refer to substances that are absolutely necessary for normal functioning of the human body. They are actively involved in complex biochemical and physiological processes and ensure the maintenance of homeostasis of the organism. Many micronutrients perform a specific function in the body and are essential for certain, well-defined processes. Peach leaves is a promising raw material for manufacturing drugs with immunotropic activity. The aim of our work was to study the amino acid and mineral composition of the peach leaves Prunus persica Mill, family Rosaceae, harvested inTajikistan.Investigation methods. The study of amino acids in the peach leaves was carried out with an automatic amino acid analyzer (Microtechnique,Prague,Czech Republic). The method is based on separation of amino acids and measuring the intensity of the absorption of complex of amino acids with ninhydrin on a spectrophotometer at a wavelength of 440 nm for proline and 570 nm for other amino acidsQualitative and quantitative determination of the elemental composition of peach leaves was carried on the CAS-120 by atomic absorption spectroscopy with atomization in air-acetylene flame. Results and discussion. Our experimental data was compared with results of determination of amino acids in peach leaves, harvested in the Kharkiv region,Ukraine, obtained before. The presence and content of 17 amino acids, were established. 8 of this amino acids (leucine, isoleucine, methionine, phenylalanine, histidine, threonine, lysine, arginine) are essential. It was determined that peach leaves harvested inTajikistan accumulated lysine, glutamic acid, alanine, glycine and tyrosine. Peach leaves harvested inUkraine accumulated glutamic acid, leucine, proline mainly. Cysteine was in trace concentrations in both types of raw materials. The total content of amino acids was greater in the raw materials harvested inUkraine.Content of K, Si, Ca, Mg were the highest in both types of raw material. But content of K was higher by 33% in raw materials fromUkraine. The content of Si, Ca and Mg was higher slightly in raw materials fromTajikistan.Conclusions. 17 amino acids and 19 elements were determined. It was determined 8 essential amino acids (leucine, isoleucine, methionine, phenylalanine, histidine, threonine, lysine, arginine) in peach leaves harvested inTajikistanAmong the macro elements contents of K, Si, Ca, Mg were the largest. Content of Co, Cd, As, Hg was beyond the capacity of definition. Among the micronutrients Fe and Al prevailed.ReferencesZapadnyuk V. N. Amino acids in medicine / V. N Zapadnyuk, L. P. Kuprash, N. V.
