| dc.description | The aim: to assess the efficiency of implementation of ART services in Ternopil region for making recommendations for the development of regional HIV/AIDS control programs for 2019–2023. The ART coverage of PLHIV is not sufficient to have a positive impact on the HIV epidemic situation. There is an increase in incidence and prevalence of HIV infection and AIDS in Ternopil region. Also, the extension of number new HIV positive cases in the age group of 15–24 years old and cases among the rural population was registered. There is a concentration stage of HIV infection with the activation of transmission by sex from IDU to general population. Mortality in patients with co-infection TB/HIV increases. Measures should be taken to attract people to HIV testing, to introduce medical training about the basics of effective HIV counseling, to expand the network of organizations providing preventive services to key populations. | en-US |
| dc.description | Мета роботи − оцінити тенденції епідемічної ситуації з ВІЛ-інфекції/СНІДу у Тернопільській області для формування рекомендацій з розробки національної та регіональної програм протидії ВІЛ-інфекції/СНІДу на 2019-2023 роки. В області зростає захворюваність на ВІЛ-інфекцію та СНІД, поширеність та ріст нових випадків ВІЛ у віковій групі 15-24 р., серед жителів сільської місцевості. Спостерігається концентрована стадія ВІЛ-інфекції з активізацією статевого шляху передачі із середовища ЛВІН до загального населення. Зростає смертність хворих з ко-інфекцією туберкульоз і ВІЛ-інфекція (ТБ/ВІЛ). Необхідно здійснити заходи по залученню населення до обстежень на наявність антитіл до ВІЛ, запровадити навчання медичних працівників основам ефективного консультування ВІЛ-інфікованих, розширити мережу організацій, які надають профілактичні послуги ключовим групам населення. | uk-UA |
