TENDENCIES AND DETERMINANTS OF THE DEVELOPMENT OF CANCER: DEVELOPED VS. DEVELOPING COUNTRIES

Abstract

This study explores cancer incidence, mortality, and survival rates in developed and developing countries focused on India and Germany, analyzing key socio-economic, environmental, and healthcare determinants influencing cancer development. It compares the role of public health interventions in reducing the cancer burden and investigates disparities in treatment and outcomes across regions. The research highlights higher cancer incidence but improved survival in developed countries due to advanced healthcare systems and screening programs, while developing countries face rising cancer rates, limited early detection, and higher mortality linked to inadequate healthcare access and socio-economic challenges. Findings emphasize the need for tailored public health strategies that address structural inequalities and enhance prevention and treatment, particularly in resource-limited settings.
