| dc.description.abstract | According to the results of a systematic review of 13 studies (33,062 participants) (Pappa et al., 2020), anxiety disorders were recorded in 23.2% of healthcare workers, depressive disorders in 22.8%, insomnia in 38.9%, and women and nurses had higher levels of affective symptoms. There are a number of objective difficulties in modern medicine: insufficient resources, lack of equipment, an incompletely established structure of the medical service, lack of experience in crisis situations, and much more. Also, nurses often do not receive at all or receive very limited knowledge and skills in caring for their psychological state during their training or advanced training. The above data on the increasing frequency of mental disorders in the population and the high risk of their development in nurses due to the nature of their work prompted us to conduct this study. The aim of the work: to identify the level of stress in nurses, namely its main signs of anxiety and depression, and to assess how much stress affects both the work of nurses and their daily activities. Research subject. The frequency of stress in nurses, namely its main signs of anxiety and depression. Having studied the degree of depression in nurses based on the Beck questionnaire, Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale and Likert scale, it is possible to recommend using scientifically based methods of pathological personality disorders correction and prevention. The obtained results can be used for optimal strategies, tactics and means of psychological, psychotherapeutic and medical influence, for the development of methods of the prevention of mental disorders and pathological personality behavioral disorders in nurses. The most common symptoms of depression were sleep disorders, decreased appetite, pain in the lower back and head and anergy. Anxiety states are characterized by difficulty falling asleep, restless sleep, somatovegetative disorders combined with hypochondriacal ideas. Apathy is characterized by late awakenings and a feeling of weaknesses throughout the body. The use of the obtained data can increase the recognition of depression, and psychiatrists can conduct treatment in order to reduce the frequency of depressive and anxiety disorders, suicidal risk, reduce economic losses and improve the quality of life of nurses and their families. | uk |
