This research work has reviewed the issues of professional training of nurses involved in interventional radiology— one of the most actively evolving fields of modern medicine. The aim of the study was to assess the level of theoretical knowledge and practical skills of nurses, and to analyze adherence to the standards of nursing care when performing interventional procedures. The research work includes two main stages: a questionnaire survey and semi-structured interviews conducted among nurses from various health care facilities, and a clinical audit of the practical activities of nurses in the context of actual interventional procedures. The methods of the study made it possible to identify current problems in the training and practice of nurses, to determine the level of professionals' confidence in their own competencies, and to identify the most vulnerable stages of clinical work. The results of the study have shown that in spite of having a certain base of knowledge and skills, a significant proportion of nurses experience difficulties in a number of practical aspects, especially in areas such as ensuring sterility, management of vascular access, and timely documentation of clinical changes. The majority of respondents expressed the need for additional training, highlighting the relevance of developing targeted educational programs. The obtained data have significant scientific and practical value, as they can be used to improve the training system for health care workers in the field of interventional radiology, enhance the quality of care, and ensure patient safety.uk
